either chest armor or cloak give frost resistance, chest armor is better in my opinion

Wolf armor is better then Iron, but you only need the cloak to be resistent to cold.

Dosent have to be wolf armor/cloak. Lox cloak will do the same effect.

True, but you still need to venture into mountains and get silver for that cloak, plus going into plains and farming lox with iron gear... might as well stick to wolf chest or cloak.

Chest requires more silver but cloak requires a wolf trophy, so it's subjective which one is easier to get. Personally I buffed my hp and ran into mountains without any cold resist, just to pull a couple wolves and tame them in nearby meadow. Then I farmed my wolves for a trophy. That way I just needed a quick chunk of silver to get my cold resist.

You need only one from these:
- Frost resistance mead
- Wolf fur cape
- Lox cape
- Wolf armor chest

Lox cape is cheaper on resources, but lot of people prefer the looks of the Wolf Cape

I got the lox cape first. I was able to take one down well before I was ready to face a wolf or wolf pack. Before the lox cape, I was using the frost resistance mead, but I was weak enough that I was really taking my life in my hands whether it was plains or mountains.

If you like traveling light and mobile, you can just use the wolf/lox cape, whatever helmet, and the troll armor chest and legs. This gives you frost and cold protection, some armor, but no loss to mobility.
