Stair Building Technique - Run Up Ladders
Place 45 degree wood beams on ladders to be able to sprint up them. Works great for multiple story bases.

It's a good idea, I just can't stand how big a footprint straight staircases require. I'm a fan of either spirals with landings, or typical stairwell style in alternate directions. There are locations where a grand staircase can look good, but you really need to have a huge room for them or it just looks and feels cramped.

That's so much easier than that clunky hopping nonsense.

100%

Stairs will eat up your half floor space, spirals take too long to run up. I want to fly through my base at warp speed!

In this base I've got one escalator going up 3 stories and it takes almost no space.
