Where can i find silver ?

I've been in three mountains and i still can't find silver. Can anyone tell me where it could be?

1: Explore around a BIG mountain biome and you'll likely see some sticking out of the ground.

2: Do as the game intended and defeat bosses. Bonemass drops an essential item in finding underground ores.

1. I always have wishbone in mountains (but i don't know how it works).
2. Currently i'm on big island-mountain

The WB beeps so you need sound on. It beeps faster and faster as you get near, until its pretty darn fast and then you dig around a bit.
silver is a long, twisted tube formation in this game, and it occasionally juts out of the ground so you can just see it. It looks like a dark rock. Usually it is buried and you need to WB find to dig to it then it mines much like copper.
There are mountains without, but normally HIGH mountains with drakes will have some. No drakes, often, no silver.

Veins are tricky. There are mountains with no vein (even some medium mountains can have none), most has 1-3 veins, but sometimes there is more - so far the highest number of veins I've found on a single mountain was 12 (right, twelve). It was quite big, but not too big - rather medium-large.

Right click the wishbone to activate it. You don't wear it. You're only allowed one magic item to be active at a time, so if you're wearing the strength belt, you lose it (but that's OK). What I like to do is once the WB starts beeping (and I turn off the music when I'm hunting silver) I stop moving. Take a few steps forward to see if it starts beeping faster and at a higher pitch. If not, step back to the start point and take a few steps left. Rinse and repeat for different directions. Once you locate the silver, you can re-activate the strength belt so you can carry more ore back to base.

Don't forget to mark the map where the silver is, and you could also build a portal up the mountain if you wanted, saves time going up steep cliffs & slopes.

Silver was near my small house in mountains, so i have portal there.
