Boar farming, assistance wanted

Anyone know a boar farm design that still works in current version? I've tried two or three designs in a row now and it seems like all of them no longer work. I can't keep myself stocked in boar meat with the usual methods and I need some help with it as soon as possible.

This an old screenshot but boars still there and still breeding happy.
I built a fences off the stone and it includes a small area of water. A roof area, pet the boars every so often so they know I love them.
They require your presence to breed at first.
Feed strawberries ie raspberries.

Nice, I guess, but that's not what I mean. I mean a proper farm where you can get the boars to reproduce endlessly, so you can stock up a lot of raw meat.

Get the best boar you can (ideally 1 or 2 stars) let it aggro you and follow you back inside of some preconceived enclosure of your choosing, give it food (throw a stack of berries or carrots in) and hang out close by where it can't see you. Wait until it becomes tame ( you can check tame level by hovering mouse over boar) . Keep fire of any kind at a good distance from the enclosure. Go get another boar.

If any boar mates with a 2 star boar their is a 50/50 chance the offspring will be a 2 star.

To get them to mate wait until they are hungry and throw a stack so they eat at the same time

pet them.

the big secret is that the "breeders" are completely unnecessary, just wait until they are all hungry and throw a stack , they will breed.

boar farm will not work. i have tried it in so many ways since the update. you will need to use full tile.... if the boar is not on the level... wont eat....

I know how taming and breeding works. I'm talking about making a farming setup that bypasses the 5-boars limit so I can really churn them out for mass meat production. I have a whole mess of 2-star boars already. I don't need the basic tutorial of how this works.

Let them roam your base, let them get hungry , and feed them. Open range boars in the new orange.

That sounds like the opposite of the solution, because I still have to meticulously micromanage every single boar across my fairly large base I have.

Had the same experience, whatever they did has made the tolerances for setting up a breeder much, much tighter. The solution that has worked for me is to make sure both boars are on the same level inside the breeder and then cover the top with a floor piece, flush with the top of the half walls and drop the food on top of that. This works, but its finicky as hell, if anything is even slightly off, no dice. But it can still be made to work.

To get more than the 5 limit i'm pretty sure you just have to make the area at which they're in bigger or make a separate one

both my wolf and boar breeders have stopped after latest patches. and they were working fine for the last 50+ hours of gameplay.
Breeding on the floor works fine still...
redesign of breeders is the only solution i guess.

Doubts. My boar ate the mushroom, carrot, berries, etc and yet do not pro-create...
I used Improvedboar mod, but removing it, do not revert boar to prior settings.

The problem is that they won't eat. Once they eat, they should be able to mate. I ended up just making a really large pen. Not really what I was hoping for, but I have my chests full of meat now I suppose.

Well looks like now hunts deers its a better option to get easy meat than loosing time breedin boars

I get ~12-16 **-Boars in each of my 3 pens, which each pen is over 5 floor units away from the other ones...I cull each pen down to 4 Boars in each, repeat cycle.

No MODs....

Eh even with the hard nerfing to breeding boars, I don't agree. It's less convenient but with 2-star boars I can pull in stacks of raw meat every harvest.
