Its more about just throwing multiple enemies at you who will try to pile on top of you instead of throwing 1 or 2 enemies at you with detailed movesets like you would see in a souls like game. Everything else about the game is really nice tho but I just think the combat system could be a bit more detailed and its my only real complaint.
Great tip , I like fantasy and sci fi survival games. Is it much harder to survive solo in Valheim than in 7DTD ?
I'm not sure I'd agree. Yes, the initial survival can be ... bumpy (!) but once you get a hang of the way the world works (and combat works) and start to improve your weapons, armour and food, the need to stay so close to home base falls away. Portals and boats come along soon enough and help expand the exploration range.
And even being ambushed to death doesn't mean "losing everything" as (with minor exceptions) you can return to the place you died to collect your stuff later - and can take as much time as you need.
Ultimately, though, some people have enjoyed it solo (including me), others haven't. YMMV as usual ...
