Remove the dropped items
Do you guys think they will add that option one day ?
Like dropped items that could be removed other time or even a lava pit to destroy them ?
I wont lie when you play with 6-7 people and everyone starts dropping stuff around it makes the whole game or server go full laggy and it is annoying as hell

yep, having something that can permanently dispose of items is indeed one of the thing many people wish for.
my game started lagging after a while of dropping all trash in a back corner of our garden... had to fill some cart to drop them in the sea..

The way the game works items don't despawn in a certain radius around workbenches. So if it's really that big of a problem then dump it a good deal away from your base. It will be gone in like 3 in-game days.

Fill your crap in a boat and send it over the edge of the flat earther world with Viking song and mead.

Anything outside of player base ( https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Player_base ) range despawns within a couple game days.
Anything dropped into 2m+ deep water despawns much quicker.

I think they should just make it so anything thrown into a bonfire is gone. Or create a new type of work station that destroys whats put into it.

As a side note to this, I've tried to dig wells in my bases, so I could just throw stuff in them, but I've never been able to get that 2m+ depth by pick axing.

Just run about 50 yards from your base and drop them. They will go away.

Just do what humanity does, dump your garbage into the sea. No in-game greenpeace to annoy you

i think the items should be sold to the merchant at one set price no matter what it is, i say this because soon as one item becomes so easy to get it, thats when its like ok its gone and i got gold for it. i avoid troll items now i have so many of their skins its nuts. i could start a troll clothing store lol

Tbh, i used to think the same thing. Then I got to the point where all the junk I had been throwing in a pit was super important.

I immensely regret my decision to ditch that stuff.

Maybe an option in the super late game would be nice, when you really will get an excess of items... seems like we shouldn't encourage deleting stuff early on tho.

There is a console command for it (removedrops), but honestly, one should not have to use a console command for something so common as a destroy item slot/thing somewhere.

that console command only works in single player there are very few commands that work on multiplayer, but what i do in the case of destroying items as i play mostly on my community server with a buddy i just keep a single player seed also and when i need to dispose of items i just go to single player and drop the junk and log back into multiplayer.
