End Game Spear

i may be in the minority here, but i ended up really like spears this play through, but then come to find out there is no end game spear! (no black metal or themed spear better than wolf fang spear)

Now that they have added the parry back to ranged enemies, its prime time to get an end game spear in the in mix.

Im making this post to hopefully draw some attention to adding in a Spear better than wolf fang on the next update/patch!

Agreed, and a way to aim low with the spears. For me, spears stopped at the ancient bark one, because the tooth on a stick just looks so bad i couldn't get myself to use it without feeling shame. I hope they'll add blackmetal spears, but i can wait longer if we can get flametal spears

If they wanted to add one, they would have probably done so in the H&H update.
I think they didn't add it for the Plains because it would make Porcupine irrelevant.

Spear and mace gameplay are completely different, so i see no reason not to have a Plains Tier spear.

The problem is taht Porcupine does split prierce and blunt damage, which makes it the best weapon against the Lox, but it's crap on Yagluth and the BM sword is better for Fulings. A Plains tier spear would outperform it against Lox and render the weapon irrelevant.
Btw for Growths the best weapon is the Iron Mace.

Hmm... good point about the Lox, but not really convinced that a weapon being outmatched by another is a reason good enough to throw a complete gameplay out the window. Don't get me wrong, the Porcupine is probably the weapon i use the most ( because IMO it's the best looking), but since we already have Frostner still relevant at endgame, it would make more sense to have a high tier spear rather than another 1H mace. Why not just have both and let player choose the one they prefer ;-) The more weapons there are, the less players will all look like clones (and 2H weapons are just not buffed enough to compensate for the lack of a shield, except maybe for the 2H Mace).

Btw, about Growths, i just avoid them like pest since i got nuked the first time i found some. Now i just lure Loxes in and let them do the job.

I will always root for spears. If you study history, you will find spears (and their relatives: gliaves, polearms, pilum, etc.) were the primary weapon for many (if not most) human conflicts. Youtuber Lindybeige does videos about spears vs. swords.

The fact that Valheim gives us spears and atgeirs which are actually decent weapons is one more reason I love this game so much.

Also, you don't have to go far into Norse mythology to find spears... Gungnir?

You dont need end game spear. Because its end game.

Also game is not finished, I think 5 new bioms will come. So in the last biom there will be at sure spears.

Btw I use spears, so dont worry, you not only one. :))

Where do you get that number? I am pretty sure only 3 are left + some additions to the Ocean biome.
