Dont waste your bronze on armor

Just go with troll armor and use the bronze for other stuff. The difference in protection is minimal, you get slower with bronze and you need to mine 3x more than the next ore upgrade so... just dont.

Another nonsense. Bronze armor is great fun, looks awesome, and protection is super great.

Yeah, Bronze armor made me wish gear could be deconstructed to get some of the base materials back. Even upgraded, it only offered a tiny bit more protection than troll leather at the same level, despite slowing you down and lacking a set bonus (maybe that would make up for it, something like a set bonus to guard armor or something).

There's so much stuff to spend bronze on during the bronze age bracket, and you're pretty much forced to contend with trolls anyways, and troll leather isn't used for nearly as much. If you go out of your way to make and upgrade bronze armor, you're basically just doing it for lulz. It's not worth the trouble.

They should all you to put armor on walls like weapons and shields and trophies. So at least then it would be able to not be a complete waste

Well, I didn't know when I made it.

But, yes, I would happily put it on some kind of armor manikin as a decoration. At least it'd have a use then.

if you like to have -10% movement speed with garbage stamina we have now + you like to dig copper nodes for hours (and then transport & smelt it) go for it! as guy above mentioned its super protective and super great funtastic.
And with max black forest tier upgrades they have the same armor (or 2 points difference)

we got tons of bronze to make its not a big issue crafting bronze armor imho

Got used to going for bronze as soon as I could. I don't find hunting for trolls while in leather armor being fun, it's just hit and run with the bow

See, I never actually hunted for trolls, they just showed up while I was trying to do other things and the choices at that point are either abandon what you're doing and run, or kill the troll. After doing that once or twice, you start getting troll armor, and it all just becomes routine from there.

I keep upgraded troll until silver. I save all the iron for padded armor. The only iron weapon/armor I make is mace and shield.

Hey, how about you play it your way and everyone else will play it how they like? Min/maxers suck the life out of having a good time. lol I normally go with troll armor because it doesn't reduce speed and it has the sneak bonus, easy to build up by killing a few trolls. My wife likes the bronze armor, she likes having more protection and the way it looks. Different strokes for different folks. Both armors are perfectly fine--if the only real distinction is how much mining you have to do, that's really up to the individual. Not everyone thinks exploring/mining is a chore--we enjoy running around, mining things up, fighting mobs, exploring, sailing--all of it. There isn't a shortage of minerals in the world, it's fine to use it how you wish and just go dig up more if you need it.

We would get tons of bronze if we didint had to mine and smelt 3x the work for 1 ingot (2 copper, 1 tin). Since every copper node gives 60 copper if you mine it whole, you get 30 ingots of bronze, which is enough to build and upgrade 1 piece of armor and have a little bronze left. So you'd have to mine at least 3 copper nodes and smelt almost 270 ingots to get a fully upgraded armor + 1 more node for the other stuff (like bronze nails, fermenters, etc)

Its not about "min/maxing" stuff. Its about not wasting time mining or resources (like coal). But its more of an advice/rant than anything. Just staying i regret dismissing the troll armor after seeing how slow i get when using bronze and how much time i spent mining when i could do more fun stuff like building or exploring.

I won't deny, that shiny bronze helmet is dope while the troll blue is ugly, but i'd rather run faster and do less mining.

Yeah, I usually just make the helmet at most since it doesn't come with the speed penalty. Overall the "jean-suit" is better imo.
