I tried to cook a Serpent meat on iron grill... It says I need to put fire under it. Which is there

So there must be a bug, since I cannot grill Serpent meat anymore despite I got the fire and iron grill... Haven't tried cooking the lox meat yet, but I presume the bug is there too

You can also do it with a bonfire though it might take a few tries to get it sufficiently close for it to count.

I used the hearth works pretty sweet with the iron grill racks. This is now listed next to the wooden.

Huh, didn't know this. I just placed two under mine because I thought it would look better.
