auto pick up?

Mine turns off after about a half hour of playing. I run over things or pick them from a bush and they fall to the ground. I have to use e every time. This started when I first got the belt, taking it off does not help, restarting does, for a little while. I do have a few mods, less than 10. All were updated since H&H but disabling them did not help either. Annoying when you have to pick up 25 coal.
Any ideas?

try checking the keybinding for the auto pickup enable/disable. Since it was added in the patch the default key might conflict with another keybinding you set up if you made changes to the defaults.

Its on the settings menu, controls, bottom of left colum.

I had to change the keybinding for it right after the patch as it conflicted with the custom keybinds I had set up and I don't remember the default key for it but I do remember it was in the cluster around AWSD like all the other default keybinds..

try without mods... it works fine for me, I pick up until 1) full or 2) overweight.

Also, check your inventory, you won't pick up if your full, or it will put you over weight :)

I know I've done it a few times. However it also seems to act wonky (toggles itself) for a few minutes once I've accidentally toggled it. I'll look closer at it next time it does its thing.

Looks like that's what i did, trying to hit space with my thumb and catching the V key also.

I've noticed this as well so thanks for bringing it up op.. I click e to pick Raspberry and instead it drops to the ground then E again to pick it up. At first I thought my inventory was full. It only started since Hearth and Home went live. I have never used mods.

I made sure auto pickup was on then unbound the key.
I'm pretty sure I was accidentally hitting V.
