Saving System?

Spent almost a day playing - got as well some achievments - was somewhere near 10th planet - over 1 mio money - and so on.
Restartet my pc and now i am again just after the tutorial?!?

Anyway to restore the previous progress?

Only thing I could suggest is looking in "C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\IdleExpanse\Saved\SaveGames\{UserID}" and see if there is a "AUTOSAVE.sav" or "AUTOSAVE_BACKUP.sav" if there is the later than rename it to "AUTOSAVE.sav".

if there is neither then you're out of luck and will sadly have to restart over.

Edit: Though since you said it restarted over and your after the tutorial again, you may have inadvertently deleted your old saves in the process.

Hi Waldi,

There are multiple mechanisms built into the game to help prevent the loss of save data.
In fact, the very latest version of the game contains a change that should add even more redundancy to the save system. However, data corruption is still possible in some rare cases.

Journey Over's advice is fair BUT in order for that to work, you'd have to rename "AUTOSAVE_BACKUP.sav" to "AUTOSAVE.sav" after you launch the game but before you progress past the "Press Any Key" screen. Also, before you go doing any file renaming, I'd highly recommend creating a copy of those files first.

Ok - so with the help of speedy7878 we were able to resolve the problem!
I lost the connection to steam at some point, so the progress was startet not with my usual steam-user but with a default user.

After restarting steam and the pc again, im back on my previous progress :D Thanks a lot!
