After this game one theory somehow fits to the whole plot, that probably someone designed this camp/ trip to kill all the participants (using dinosaurs in this closed area). It looks like in movier Predators where the characters don't know that they are a prey in the hunting area. Some Psycho-scientists I guess could do that. But anyway I would like to see one more game in this concept - because atmosphere from Jurassic Park 1 and 3 is astounding. Great game in this universe.
This game kinda lacked the discovery of background info in buildings and i would love for a sequel to focus more on that as well as the dino action. Thinking back to the game though, i found the chain link fence around the park to be a little underwhelming...i get it you dont want people thinking you are containing dinosaurs right off the bat but how is a chainlink containing anything?...unless electrified, you cant even keep most of todays animals contained with it let alone a tyrannosaur.
But yes a sequel that fills in the gaps, shows some light on the back story and maybe we find that the dinos are contained geologically and not by that rusty ol chain link.
It looks like this place was pretty good hidden away from world. I've reminded that one note has info about some biologist who discovered this fauna and flora. And in another notes ( in the sewers probably) there are some dates of building the park or tunnels. So I guess, even this place was hidden, the ones who created the Oakwood Lodge or tunnels probably knew about dinosaurs. So if they do, the fence is still low for trex and raptors. So it's maybe an oversight of devs ?
Back to your Jurassic Park anegdote - yea that is why I dont like 2nd JP too much. I prefer 1st and 3rd due to explorations of the Isla Nublar and Sorna. In the 2nd movie the atmosphere is not as in first one. Then they move T-rex and other dinosaurs to US and it has nothing common with the basic core of JP and the book. I love JP III because of the spooky atmosphere, and the Spinosaur - my fav dino :) haha
But yeah the spino, cerato, and raptors confused me as a kid because they never addressed in the movie where or when these were cloned...it would of been cool if they discovered that the spino/cerato/raptors were cloned after the 1997 events when they were snooping through the embryonics lab.
In terms of building exploration JP3 was better than TWL but only because they actually spent some time exploring and weren't being chased down right from the start which was a nice take. i just wished they actually discovered something besides a vending machine and broken eggs. But the aviary was awesome, that was something that needed to be addressed for a long time and finally was.
However i liked the atmosphere and the look of the buildings more in TLW. I liked the worker village being dark, foggy, grimy and those flickering yellow lights on the buildings just set an eerie tone of abandonment and disrepair.

Pointed to Emily (one character of the group) that Maddi is part of. She is the only character from the group of 6 that isn't accounted for with blood or body parts.
Their theory is if you look at the notes and clues; every seven years, the 7th day, of the seventh month, the dinos appear and cause maybem. One of the books in the library hints to this in the title.
Would hit that the dinos and the luring of people to the park to be murdered are linked, but ultimately the dinos are independent of the person who lures stuff. One explanation of the YouTuber who did the deep dive mentioned that the dinos could die off of modern sickness, or whisp away in their worm holes or however they got there.
The bone statues at the end also elude to human interference in some regard.
Like one comment said, a prequel. And maybe a sequel or two where you get to explore the area as an abandoned location exploration group + another sequel as a search and rescue group. Or possibly in two years another sequel 7years after the original release; to meet with the original game lore. All or any of those would be pretty cool.
I bought, installed, played and uninstalled this game today. I did not mind paying for so little content as some of the monies would go to some indies and I don't mind them getting my support.
