Defeats king but is defeated by knight. Moves only diagonally.

Yes! You can check each symbols full description from the pause menu at any time. There is also a assist option which shows the hierarchy on the right side of the screen as you play.

I just played only one hour right now, reached level 15 and it totally makes sense, because kings kill knights, but kings get killed by assassins, and also knights can kill assassins :) yep that's logic. Also pictograms are clearly identifiable, I recognized the assassin symbol clearly (maybe it's not so obvious for those who didn't play Assasins Creed). I saw that there was an help page only when quiting the game.
It was a bit of headache for me at level 4, but once my brain triggered it was a total pleasure, even if I'm very bad at chess.
I will continue the game tomorrow, I hoped that there was more than 30 levels, but I imagine that the difficulty will seriously increase.
