My review for new players

[Cagan]

This game is a cash cow bought by a new publisher who implemented a GAMBLING SHOP and a CASH SHOP. The publisher reset the servers wiping out 7 year old accounts and deleted all the items we bought from the cash shop so they can sell the items again.

Do not waste your time and money on this grindy old title with a horrible cash shop. There are better steam games out there with ships. A nice simple one I like is Windward, tempest is also not bad.

There are some papaya employees in this forum that are trying to promote this game with fake steam accounts.

Also the game has around 30 players left but many many bots and multi accounts. You can see many players botting in dungeons or multi accounting trade runs.

I would suggest other titles that you can play from Steam rather than wasting your time and money on this **FREE**game with gambling store (does steam even know that they have a gambling store where they sell randomized loot?) and a cash shop...

Haha...there you go again...I am not a fake person, nor am I am employee of Papaya.

All you do is constantly troll the game discussion section ad nauseum. Besides the fact, that you are a blatant liar.

I know you are upset about the reset, so was I and many others, we got over it. Some returned some did not. But you seem booty hurt to the point of obsession. You really need to move along and find something fun to take up your time.

Trust me, if I was an employee, they would not allow me to speak up this way and I am really holding back. They have too much class, something you sadly lack.

Further, perhaps you should read the Steam Online Conduct, which states, in part

I was one of the people whose account got wiped and yeah, it sucks. Definitely makes me think twice before spending cash again. However the "gambling" aspect was still there with OGP when the game was on Steam. If you are into scratch off lottery tickets more power to you. There does seem to be a new influx of players, as well as most of the diehards from years ago, but it remains to be seen how many will continue once the massive buffs run out in about a week.

I also lost my account when Papaya took over as publisher. But like Walker I also went back and played again.

I suspect you still have an account Cagan. Am I right? And you look-in to the game every so often hoping to see it has failed? And it hasn't so you feel angry? And then you write negative reviews to vent all that pent-up hostility? And then you can feel better because you think you've done some harm to the game?

To still be angry after 15 months ... Seriously Cagan, you should get some counselling.

If anyone reads this and wants some honest advice, I'd say don't read the reviews! Uncharted Waters doesn't suit everyone. But if you like trading, collecting, crafting type games, with added exploring and adventuring, and only a little PvP, then you should at least try it.

One word of advice I'd add. In this newest incarnation world chat is mostly dominated by players whose primary focus is maritime and seem to think everyone else's is as well. Their advice and frame of reference usually assumes you are at least battle level 50 and spend considerable cash on the game. They also are pretty cliqueish and don't react well to even minor criticisms of the game and its mechanics. If that isn't your thing, probably best just to avoid it.

Agreed with OP.

Stay away from this game and publisher.
Took a break from the game and return to discover they wiped EVERYTHING from my account, and now they say that I will not receive anything in the way of compensation.

Heck, it took me MONTHS of grinding, years of gameplay, to create my Master Shipbuilder and Smith and now he's gone, aong with all my cash credits in the store and all my ships and items.

it can't be too hard to find. There are only 40 players left in the game. (not counting multiboxes) If you want to avoid PvP spend money in the cash shop :)
