Whiplash knock-off?

This game reminds me a LOT of Whiplash, but maybe that's just me.

Whiplash was an underground classic. I boot it up every now and then, I have it emulated and I still have my original copy on PS2. This does look decent though.

I've never ever seen / hear of this title in any stores i've been to when PS2 games were booming or even now days with the shelf that hardly anyone goes to anymore with left over PS2 titles, sure not a big selection but its there and i've just never seen this like was this even sold in the UK? But anyways you now have open my eyes to this Whiplash game that i need in my collection now. Well looks nice enough to play.

No, not really. If anything, it makes me more hype for this game. Gonna bust out my PS2 for some Whiplash in the meantime!

I could see Whiplash being an inspiration. Whiplash had more more focus on destruction on combat though. Hell Pie feels more focused on platforming.

TBF Whiplash did have a decent amount of platforming, too.

I was thinking this also the two characters appear chained together and all the platforming, such a fun game on Xbox original.

One of the Devs on a Reddit thread says it's pretty much a coincidence. No one on the team was consciously aware of Whiplash before.

i mean it makes sense the only similar thing is that their tied togeather there is really no other caparisons to whiplash in fighting style or abilitys
