Dear devs of Senran Kagura 7EVEN: release it on PC only (Edit: on PC, Switch and Xbox)

I'm aware that this is not the right place exactly, but as a customer who bought all the SK franchise in Steam, and at least half of the DLCs, I think my opinion has some value to a certain extent. there are customers out there (not all customers, maybe many, maybe some, maybe a few) who don't want 7even changed because of puritans's policy that it's going to ruin the franchise for good.

Yes, I'm talking about Soyny.

This is an advice, because there'll be severe consequences for the franchise if you don't do nothing about it.

Get the game out of Sony, and you'll be fine. There's been a rise on pc gaming in Japan, if you make it exclusive in pc, no one will go to force their puritanical rules on your product. Everyone from everywhere will be able to buy it.

If the Pc version comes along as intended initially, you'll do it just fine. But if you capitulate to the censors, be my guest, I won't shed tears for you when the game's sales go down, and someone else will replace you in the future.

Edit: Since people are saying about putting the game to Switch (a friendly platform okay with fanservice) and even Xbox, I'm going to put an adition to the title.

dude i had to give up lol with teaspoon at this point its like he wants it to be censored and only supports the publishers choices cuz sony is da best. This is the exact problem we have with gaming right now. Dont support publishers customers are £$£$£$ thats all we are to them. we should be supporting developers they want money to but they also want people to like there games.

From the outset my question has been what has been removed/censored from the game, but nobody can answer that, apparently not even the developers, so then why are people making such a big deal about this when they don't know what is actually being changed? If we actually knew what was being removed that would be one thing, but we don't.

Fighting against censorship for the sake of not wanting anything to be censored is moronic, especially when you don't know what it is that's being censored, because what if it turned out the thing that is/was being censored was something that was actually bad? You would then look bad/stupid/terrible for defending said thing. Even if you claimed ignorance saying "Well I didn't know it was that. If I knew it was that I would've never argued for it." because that would make you look equally as dumb as it shows you'll argue for something without knowing what it is.

unless senran ether went full on pedo level or child killing of couse anything like this should be censored. it was always on the edge but lets face it its not full nudity i dont think the new game will have it ether and if it did who cares i can chop people to bits in other games but female bodys are not ok? Lol save the children blah blah kids these days are playing gears of war imo thats far worse. But lets face it they are not going to go this far. You seem to be assuming as well that they have gone to some new height to get this game censored.

and i have to say as well you have to stop using that visual novel type game on the switch as an example. its not a full senran game i myself will never buy a visual novel based game on any platform even if it is something im interested in. I dont class them as games myself.

Yeah when it comes down to it, kagura is pretty tame, witcher 3 is showing full simulated sex while SK has always had the self censored/humorous beam of light.

The Witcher gets away with it because it's done in one or two scenes. The entire game doesn't come across as being "pervy" or whatever people think of SK as at first glance. The way SK portrays it's lewdness is almost always present. That's why it gets flagged and something like The Witcher doesn't.

And with what you have said sure the game may come out sooner but its not what the developer wanted if you look at game like art the publisher is telling the developer how to use the paint brush. This is not what the artist wanted the game to look like its how they have been told to make it look.

Any artist with principles will take there work and go somwhere else that there vision can be supported and the time its takes to complete it. Making the Artist happy with his work and hopfully there customers with consistency of there work.

This can be applied with anything these days. its like an indie band making 3 albums of the same type of music fans are happy they know what to expect then album 4 is full death metal because there publisher told them indie is not selling right now we want you to do this or we are going to drop you.

same thing is happening with senran & sony. It may not be best money wise sure. but the devs keep there vision nobody gets pissed off with the new direction they have been told to do by the big wigs. Most gamers are happy to wait for somthing to be complete and not rushed and slapped together. If the game takes longer to come out because they leave sony people will be sad but they will understand why its not there fault here. and they can look forward to the game devs promised.

Yes, this is well said, but you also have to be aware that an artist won't always make the right/best choices. Sometimes reigning an artist in can produce better results, while sometimes it can be for the worst.

One of the most famous examples of this is probably Star Wars. The original movie would've never been what it was if George Lucas had been able to do exactly what he wanted to do, where as The Phantom Menace ended up being a mess because he was able to do exactly what he wanted to do at all times with no restrictions. There are of course plenty of examples of movies that were ruined by studio interference.

I fully support Senran Kagura's exodus from PlayStation and Sony's draconian censorship, to ultimately more fruitful ventures on Nintendo Switch and PC (Xbox seems very unlikely considering the console is basically dead in Japan).

Now if only I can communicate this directly to Kenichiro Takaki so that development of 7EVEN can be moved effectively towards these more welcoming platforms.
