What does an extra strike mean? Is it like advantage to hit in D&D? Something else?

your attacks have a # of strikes that they do per attack. So if you have 2 attacks and 2 strikes, you hit up to 4 times. 2 of each is the default for most melee attacks. Some others have 2 attacks and 1 strike, so they can hit only twice.

Every attack has a certain number of strikes. An attack is an attack round, the strikes are when you're actually hitting. It adds one more strike, so each attack you do has one more chance to hit.
