Common Issues and Solutions
I'm going to try keep a record here of some common problems that have kept users from enjoying the sim as well as the solutions (if they exist)

Taranis Problems
The Taranis X9D, Q X7 and X-lite have all been tested and proved working, so don't panic if you are having issues, there is a solution.
One very important step is to have the radio powered, connected via USB and ready to go BEFORE you launch the sim!
Another important step, after you've hit the preset button for "Taranis" is to make sure you run the "Calibrate Ranges" menu and follow it's instructions.
Finally, if you need to trim the radio using the "Trim" menu, then make sure you trim it with the throttle stick all the way down, not centered.


Wireless USB Dongles
A lot of the people having issues with input configuration have been using various wireless dongles. They aren't all bad, I personaly use an iRangeX wireless USB thing to play and that works great. But some seem to cause infixable input config issues.

Solutions:
- One potential system is to use a drone instead of a dongle, you can do that by simply entering a couple commands into the Betaflight command line interface (CLI), see here;

- If you can plug it in via USB and use the radio wired to the PC, please do that, it seems to be a lot more reliable that way

vJoy
Having the vJoy virtual joystick driver/program installed on the PC seems to cause interferance with the input which makes it flicker and remain unusable. Even when disabled in the 'switch device' menu it continues to interfere

Solutions:
Uninstall vJoy: This is a bit complicated to do properly, but instructions are here http://vjoystick.sourceforge.net/site/index.php/77-vjoy/102-removing-vjoy

NightRace DLC not Unlocking
This is a very serious bug and we have contected Valve to see if they can see a solution. Unfortunately the code which checks for DLC ownership happens inside the Steamworks API which I have quite little control over.

In settings turn off 'Robot Voice's
It's a speech engine that will read out your laptime but it causes crashes on some computers

I have an issue trying to run where I get a fatal error as below. Occurs only on one machine (Alienware M11-r3) but runs fine on my Dell Precision 5510.

Is there any way you can run without Dx11? Maybe using the Windows compatibility settings?

Got it sorted - thanks. Turned out to be a graphics driver issue which got fixed by rolling back and reinstalling.

Just downloaded the FPVAir last night and the program went well.. but this morning i keep getting a "Corrupt Content File" error.. it seems to be auto-updating something but could NOT finish the process.. I'm using FS-i6X..

Has anyone have this problem? HELP!!

Sounds like the game files must have got messed up somehow. On Steam you can do a "Verify game file integrity" or something which looks for an fixes up corruptions, try that

Hello. I have problems with the FLYSKY FS-i6 transmitter. WHen I go into input, then everything is jumping around, (throttle, yaw, pitch, roll n' stuff). When I then click on cilibrate, everything is also jumping around, from minimum to maximum. I can not do anything. Also in the ''quad preview'', the quad is moving from side to side, and doing spastic stuff... I can not do anything... And it says that my transmitter is connected.

Do you have any other devices plugged into your PC?
Inside 'switch device' on the input page are there other devices or vJoy?

I don't know how to map the transmitter switches to a joystick button, but I'm pretty sure that's possible. I don't have a Taranis so I can't advise how specifically.
Asking about that on the game discord will likely get you the help you need, a lot of the players on there are using QX7's

The inputs on my X9D are bouncing around like crazy. I tried bumping the deadzone up but it does nothing. I can't fly with this. Please help.

Use a blank model, press the Taranis preset in game and make sure to 'calibrate ranges' afterward

Im using a XBOX 360 controleer and the drone only moves up or down how do i move forward
