【Solved!!!】 Can't open the game
I've finished 2 routes of this game then this problem has started.
When I tried to start the game from Steam, It just pops Windows system sound effects.
When I tried to start the game from local file. I just get a window that says【Steam must be running to play this game】
The cause is probably due to the installing R18 patches.
I tried some ways to solve.
・Restarting PC
・Verify integrity of game files on Steam
・Updating Windows and Graphic Driver
・Starting the game with Compatibility mode and as an administrator
・Removing files added when installed R18 patches(It was only two)
・Reinstalling the game and Steam(I lost most of data lmao)

Is there anyone that solved or having this problem?
Please help me and let's share the information.

【P.S.】
when I tried to apply the patch after installing the game, I noticed that the patch did not recognize that the game was installed.

【P.S.】solution.
I managed to open up the game!
Before trying this way, please try ways above.
Here's how

1, Go to the local file location, then go to plugin folder.
2, Delete files named below
・win32dialog.dll
・win32dialog.dll.sig
・win32ole.dll
・win32ole.dll.sig
3 Verify Integrity of Game Files on Steam.
4 you may be able to open up the game.

I don't remember well what I deleted. but those were 100% included.
If it didn't work, you can try deleting other plugin files.
I hope you will be able to play the game!

peace.

Did you install the patch after finishing the first 2 routes? If it was after, you might have to do a complete uninstall of the game. Sometimes when you uninstall a game from steam, they might still leave some game files behind which might be causing the issues. Try uninstalling the game, then go into your steamapp/common folder and make sure it's completely gone from there. If you see a game folder of the game still there, delete it then try reinstalling it and applying the patch before launching the game for the first time.

Thanks for the reply!
I installed the patch from the beginning. And I deleted remaining files before installing the game. but the game didn't start up...

However, when I tried to apply the patch after installing the game, I noticed that the patch did not recognize that the game was installed.

This could be a clue for a solution...
I keep trying!

I had a similar issue the other day when I installed a novel on this laptop and attempted to install the patch and it said the game was not installed. In my case I think it might be due to my computers locale being set for Japanese. I'm pretty sure if I had swapped to English locale it probably would've worked though I never tested it out. Reason I have my locale set for Japanese in the first place is because there is a VN or 2 I have that require it in order to read.

Also I find it pretty strange if you had it installed from the beginning and were able to play through 2 of the routes before your issue started. So it's like it just suddenly stopped working after you finished those 2 routes?

Yes it did. To be more specific, after clearing the Meguru and Nene routes, the game stopped working while I was playing on the Tsumugi route.

My computers locale had been Japanese when I first downloaded this game.
I only changed the locale of my computer once to get a patch.

Did anything happen right after you finished the second route? It could be your antivirus effecting it now for some reason and preventing you from running the .exe. If so, you could add your steam folder to your antivirus' exceptions list, then try verifying the games integrity to see if it adds any missing files your antivirus might've deleted thinking they were a threat. It would also probably explain why the patch isn't detecting the game as installed.

I don't remember exactly when(maybe 2 or 3 days ago), but I went to bed with Sabbat of the Witch running, and when I came back and opened the window to play the game, the title screen was frozen and the game automatically quit. That may be the first time my game has stopped running since then.

I don't have any antivirus software except Windows Defender firewall.
So I think it's not my case...
