Different world (or timeline, if you want). It's even said directly by Shuuji himself that "he may be different than himself from another world"
She most likely doesn't. She most likely got replaced by Nene who didn't make that wish.
e: just realised this is an old post, sorry for reviving this
But she's still an Alp, plus she seems to recognize something in the restart route but she quickly think she's mistaken. I don't know but if I went back in time that she did I'd have to ask her for help or something, they didn't even tell Shiiba about what happened. I think it just bugs me how Shuuji 1 is left to hang dry. There's actually a post on VNDB I read today with a good convo going on about this very subject. :)
Will check the VNDB forum thread later, tyvm
I think you're right, although I do wonder if there's something magical about Nene or maybe she senses that she use to be a witch because she says "You two", implying that she senses something from Nene as well. That being said, in Nene shoes I still would have told her that she used to be her Alp and explained what happened, it would have made the years growing up less lonley and painful and maybe she could have done something about it, most likley not since the other Souma couldn't come up with an idea but in her shoes I would have been desperate I think.
But it's ambiguous enough that any interpretation is right, and i believe it is intentionally made so.
