First of all thanks for the feedback regarding the performance, would you mind sharing your specs with us, even if you have a powerful PC it's good to know if its a specific piece of hardware causing issues for us to keep track of. For example a certain brand of GPU may perform weirdly.
The demo is still very much a work in progress and we are actively updating it. As of today there should be a new patch out which aims to resolve some of the lag issues that we had, caused by a memory leak in certain situations, one of which was when striking other enemies, and I would be interested in whether you are having the same issues following this patch.
In terms of the demo content itself, it is a very pre-alpha build as the intro screen states and we will continue to update the demo as development continues, but maybe we should make the demo state a little clearer on the Steam page.
All the best
Dan
The character controls and movement are also really clunky, so I hope that gets better.
Aside from that the game is an interesting concept and I hope it eventually becomes better then spore. Also is there going to be a cell stage? I always liked the cell stage the best in spore. Creature stage is also fun.
Hi,
Some of the biggest performance hits were due to a memory leak in the demo which should be fixed now, if your comment is based on a recent play then we will need to have a look back and see if theres more work to be done there.
As for a cell stage, there are no plans for a cell stage, whilst the game shares some similarities with Spore, especially the creature editor, the actual gameplay won't be spore-like.
Thanks,
Dan
