Also map editor/maker like what EVERY OTHER STRATEGY GAME OUT THERE has!
Have pilots that can learn special moves. Like martial arts moves that increase the chances of removing parts or critical hits. Maybe some other benefits that can be added by different pilots. Like increased evasion, increased damage, higher accuracy, and other capabilities.
New weapons and other tech. Maybe mech transport vehicles. Other planets, and maybe Planetary Annihilation like game play. With the space level being a place for transport ships, battleships, and other spacecraft.
All of that said, I would simply be happy with an updated version of the game. This is simply my wish list.
Adding new technologies to the game.
Don't get me wrong, i appreciate night dives efforts to get this classic game working on modern hardware, but they did drop the ball on fixing some of the more long term problems the game had at launch.
All metal fatigue needs is the following...
Firstly: Fix the memory leak issue thats makes the game crash after half an hour.
Secondly: touch up the graphics a little, not super ultra modern day graphics, but tidy up the early 3d models and clean them up a bit.
Thirdly: Adjust and fix up the AI path finding.
Next: If you got networking guys on hand, implement steam networking for multiplayer.
and lastly: Look into modernising the sound track system and restore rimtechs soundtrack, many have said its loss is probaly due to expired licenses but its also that metal fatigue music was spilt on 2 disks originally and we only got disk 2 being milagro and neuropa music.
Sadly i don't think metal fatigue will be fixed anytime soon, mostly because nightdive is being swamped with remaster requests of other classic games, and working on system shock 2 enhanced edition.
Also if we ever did get that sequel back in the day, it would of been supreme commander forged alliance before supcom was a thing.
