This can be considered as a clone, and video game clones are completely legal as long as we don't directly steal sprites or assets ( and we don't do that! ).
I completely disagree with you.
We have many ideas we want to implement that would make the game unique.
There is literally no need for hate.
All we are trying to do is - bring a new way of playing this game format. If you feel like the game is very similar, we will accept every criticism and make the correct changes.
Thanks for the comment
Because you can, doesn't mean you should.
The map, tasks, and "sabotages" are mostly unique.
The map was a completely unique design, but the scheme looks similar because this type of map is optimal for such game-mechanics.
Almost all tasks, are original and have nothing to do with the other title.
The characters are jelly-bean like because it makes the game cute and cartoonish - there might be a re-design during early access.
P.S .: I'm from Poland.
Not to be rude but,
I'm not making the game for myself - I'm building it so you can have fun with your friends.
For you as a customer, there are no cons in the existence of this game.
It is great that you have ideas for changing the gameplay, there is so much space to experiment with in this genre, there are probably a hundred roles invented for Mafia (and Among Us has just two of them). We have been playing our own Wild West-themed game, which is pretty great and probably would be even greater if someone computerized it in an Among Us-like form.
Among Us seems to rely on the network effect, it will be difficult to repeat their success (just like it is impossible to beat Facebook -- even if you make a better social network, people will remain on Facebook because that's where their friends are). With Among Us fans assuming that you are just a clone without looking deeper (even if it is not true) it will be even harder.
(BTW why is being from Poland relevant? I am from Poland too.)
