Cue ball / object ball weight balance?

Overall I like the pace of the table and balls - it's just great to finally play a console snooker game that doesn't feel like your're playing on sand - but something feels a little off to me in the pace of the cue ball compared to object ball.

Sometimes I want to play a shot (which I know can be played in real life as I see it all the time when watching snooker) but in this game it feels as though you have to hit the ball harder in order to get the object ball where you want it. This results in the cue ball travelling too far.

It's almost like the object balls are heavier than the cue ball (which I think they are in RL, just not to this extent) and it means I can't play safety shots the way I want, because the cue ball is travelling too fast. If I play the shot so that the cue ball travels the distance I need, then the object ball doesn't travel far enough.
