Buyable things?

I see in many Videos and also talk to a Friend. You can get Money in Career but you cant do anything with it? So... What is the sense of it? Can you Buy new Queues and some other things like Clothes etc. with that Money like in International Snooker (https://store.steampowered.com/app/299500/International_Snooker/?l=german) ?
If not then all is totally senseless for me. Why make money from Winning if you cant do anything with it.

Because this is a snooker game and in the game of snooker you win money for winning matches. It's just there for immersion, so you can watch it rising along with your ranking.

Why does in-game money always have to equal being able to buy things?? This isn't GTA Online.

It isn't, but it is a game after all. It would be nice to have some cosmetic items to buy.

In fact I'm a little unclear as to why we have the option to customise our player, but there is no in game store or any way to get items in the game, or so it seems.

I don't mind the idea of buying cosmetics so much, but to say it's pointless winning money if you can't buy anything is stupid. This is a snooker game - why WOULDN'T we win money??

my understanding of the tournament at least is that depending on where you finish in the rankings at the end you will be rewarded cosmetics such as clothes or cues, the developer actually stated this in an early showing of the game. as for in game money, i wonder if items will be introduced at the end of the tourney and you have the option to but some cosmetics with money earned in game? i feel thats how its going to be.

Ah! That explains why when I go to customise player, the only options that change are the cue, pants and shoes. I can't change waistcoat, shirt or tie.
