Yeah surely it must be better to have on cinematic. I never notice much difference between epic and cinematic. Will just leave it on cinematic. i have reflections on too.

It is but barely any difference because most of the assets have been used from wsc ps3 games which is blatantly obvious so you cant improve anything when it's so sold. Look at the textures , commentary , player movements , its a copy and paste of wsc from the past and they have added licences and the player models then charged 30 quid for it. Pure bone idle dev team.

consider how old the ps3 games are now, its probably not the same dev team at all, people move on and new people come in. chances are that this was built from the ground up without any assets at all from old games and thats pretty obvious since it lacks many of the old games features which could have been directly ported going on your logic.

with that in mind i think its unfair to say lazy dev team, inexperienced dev team sure but lazy no.

the actual gameplay is excellent, i do wish it looked better although i think tables and balls look pretty spot on, they even have good lighting, notice how balls lower down the table are a touch darker than in the centre due to how the overhead light is placed, so theres some attention to detail there for sure. character models in the most part are poor though but like i say this dev team probably dont have much experience in making characters in general.

theres a lot here that dont get the praise it deserves like how rewarding the gameplay is, tough shots are tough as they should be and you can actually cue the white poorly which effects your shot, if you dont hit the white exactly right it can mess up your positional play just as in real life.

its good, and the devs have already dropped 1 patch addressing some AI issues etc so they are not taking money and moving on, good for them.

Obviously it's not the same dev team i didnt say that. Assets from the old game are blatantly obvious are you kidding me. How rewarding the gameplay is ? The gameplay is abysmal , million miles away from realistic , AI have zero idea what to do in certain siuations , it's a farce , try playing shooterspool , the snooker on there is how ball physics are supposed to be.

I dont mind you defending the dev team but dont talk utter garbage seriously. No FOV setting and looking down cue feels like your 20 yards behind the table , unacceptable , this is basic stuff. Zero stats on any players just bodged the images on every player and left it at that , no differential between any player at all.

Then as others pointed out , no player creation - pure laziness. Commentary is farcical , optimization on pc is horrid , textures are straight up horrendous and blatantly reused from old games as stated.

Seriously stop defending dev teams that get licences for big things in sport then take the piss and rush out a half baked game with re-used assets because that doesnt help us the customers or the industry it just breeds laziness. The team behind this should be ashamed that they made a mockery of the game after being given the licences and thats pure honesty regardless of how you wish to take it.

Just to confirm on this - no assets have been re-used from any other game. Everything has been created specifically for Snooker 19, including player models, commentary etc.
