yep not seen this issue in over 38 hours played now but that sounds mightily strange, my only suggestion would be maybe when you think you are rolling up to a colour maybe your not touching it, i think you have to see some yellow trail come off the object ball even just the very smallest amount, and then you MUST hit the power bar dead centre, so basically a perfect shot, its no good in the white zone it has to be centre because if its just short of that centre you will come up short and not actually touch the object ball and cause an illegal snooker.
I'm not sure but an illegal snooker would be if you rolled up to a ball during a free ball situation. You're not allowed to snooker behind the ball you nominate as the free ball, or leave that ball in a direct line between the cue ball and the object ball.
I'm definitely hitting and moving the ball I'm playing up to, I make sure I hit it hard enough that I don't leave a touching ball situation. So I'm not getting the 'Illegal Snooker' because of that. One thing that is also a bit weird is that it seems to happen a lot more in the 6-Red Tournament, that's where I was getting flagged the most. Does that game format have different rules from standard 15-Ball Snooker?
In addition to the usual snooker rules, 6-reds snooker have some extra rules:
1. There will be no more than 5 consecutive 'Foul and a Miss'
calls at any one time.
2. After 4 consecutive 'Foul and a Miss' calls, the referee will
warn the offending player that should a 'Foul and a Miss'
be called again, the following options are available to the
non-striker.
(a) He can play from where the balls have come to rest.
(b) He can ask his opponent to play from where the balls
have come to rest.
(c) He can place the cue-ball anywhere on the table, but
this option cannot be taken if play has reached the
'Snookers required' stage.
3. The player cannot snooker behind a nominated colour at
any time. (Including when playing a colour after potting a
red or a free-ball nominated as a red.)
Rule 3 has tripped me up a few times. Snookers are still possible however, just not behind the coloured ball you hit.
