Career Possible bug [PS4]
Firstly, great game.
Loving the gameplay and the official licence. Great to have the official tournaments, venues and of course the players. Commentary is also pretty good.
Really pleased with my purchase and the game has really made me pay attention to the real life World Championships.

Sorry to have to post about the PS4 version here but I couldn’t find a PS4 forum and that’s the platform I bought the game on.
Now the problem I’m having is that no matter what difficulty I select on rising star career I always get drawn against top players. Usually top 20.
Am playing on medium difficulty but it seems to happen whichever difficulty I select.
I think this must be a bug. I can’t get past the qualifying rounds as I’m always up against the likes Ronnie, John Higgins, Ryan Day etc. Am sure they should not have to qualify and I should be drawn against much lower ranked players.
Can’t seem to find a way to fix this and have restarted career several times.
Hopefully this will reach the devs and it’s not to difficult to fix.
Cheers.

i think thats a common issue and the devs are aware of it, we are reportedly getting an update in the coming days so most probably inside the next week or so, any patch will likely be console bound aswell they may just have to work on the platform patches seperately so you may get the patch first or after pc players just keep that in mind.

and im sure i speak for everyone when i say your more than welcome to post here and sell the ps4 and get a pc! :)

Apparently its quite normal to meet top ranked players in qualifying, no matter what rank you are, the exception to this should be the world championships, the masters and possibly the UK championships and one or two other events where the top 16 qualify automatically.

Basically, once you get to the masters or world championship qualifying, if you are drawn against a top 16 player to qualify then that is a definite bug, you should not be playing them.

As well as here on Steam we are monitoring comments on the Snooker 19 subreddit, but we're happy to address your queries on either forum.

Rising Star is the harder of the two Career modes, as the bottom seeds are always matched with the top seeds from the beginning of the tournament to replicate the way this works in the real life pro tour. Pro Season in Snooker 19 is the easier option, as you will be matched with the lower ranked seeds. Hope this helps!

The game is still stuttering a lot as well as major problems with delay in audio of shots. Cue ball hitting object ball, the sounds being out of sync, by half a second or so.

I'm on Xbox, have seen others reporting the same issues across all three platforms.

Ahh, I understand it now. Thanks for the clarification.

Are you absolutely sure about this? It's my understanding the OP is referring to the qualifying rounds. Yes, it's possible to meet a top 16 player in qualifying, but I think the question on everyone's lips is why is it ONLY the top 16 we meet in qualifying?

Yeah qualifying rounds, it’s how it is in real life. Devs have confirmed this also. It gives a strong advantage to the top player and lets face it, most tournament sponsors would want the top players to qualify for their tournament.
