Physics are very good overall, BUT
Using side affects the white ball trajectory off the object ball way too much!
You can do impossible shots when straight on by using side.

Take a straight black for example, if you want to get up the table you need to use screw with reverse side to come up off the long cushion, but ingame you can make the side grab from the object ball and go directly up the table. Impossible!

It's already proven. No professional player has EVER played a straight black where they move up straight across the table past the pink, without using cushions, by using side off the object ball.

Because it is IMPOSSIBLE.

but that shot is not possible in the game either, you can move a very small amount up the table using that shot but the harder you hit it the more the white ball straightens up and comes towards the cushion. its certainly not possible using reverse side either which takes the white straight towards the cushion and then accelerates off it up the table.

your talking like you can get right up the table from a straight black using side and you cant, a small amount maybe and its in this case where im trying to explain that the shot is possible but with so much side its an almost guaranteed miscue in real life and this needs to be simulated in game which its not.

its called forcing the angle, pro players do it all the time when they end up too straight on a ball and it can be done either way because you are dead straight on a ball. typically its a difficult shot to make because you are forcing an angle thats not there but it can be done. the issue ill say again is it can be done much easier in the game with little to no risk of a miscue and this is the problem within the game

Here, i went through the trouble of making a gif of an impossible shot to get it through your thick skull.
The shot is not even straight, and STILL you can draw the white back the opposite way. Side simply doesn't affect the white ball off of object balls at this degree in real life.

Yeah, in the real world, just about the best you could do with that much side (apart from miscuing) would be a stun (of sorts). Even then the CB would shift to the left slightly (as we look at it),

ah i see now what we are talking about, its the angle that should make the shot impossible. some movement left or right is possible from a straight ball but at that angle yes i see now what you mean, clearly some wires crossed here as i was thinking about making an angle off a straight shot and forcing cueball into movement one way or another but when off straight its a different matter, the ball will follow some natural angle like jud says and come to the left slightly.

but besides all that why so damn aggressive? ive never seen somebody so edgy when trying to talk about a game lol

I already addressed all of this on page 1, but i guess you were too focused on defending your point of view to notice.

If telling you to sod off for being unreasonable and disrespectful is being edgy, then ♥♥♥♥ me i guess.

i was never in any way disrespectful, i was having a discussion about the game with you and you got edgy dude. we only come to these forums to discuss the game right. theres no fight to be had we all want the right things for the game.

No, of course you weren't. You were having a discussion, and i was just being a dumb edgelord. I'm sorry for wasting your time.

its never a waste of time and im sure your really not that edgy at all its clearly just a topic you believed wholeheartedly in and thats fine, theres no hard feelings from me even if you are being clearly sarcastic lol

fluffy is 100000% correct. Forget whether or not its you or the AI, the sidespin shots whilst on a strraight shot, which the AI do a lot on the black rather then screw back with running or check side, are impossible in real life, which is a pity because the ball physics in this game are wonderful in general, but the game is currently coded to depict that kind of sidesspin shot making the white ball move sideways after it hits the object ball, with ridiculous results. Even then, the extremeness of the sidespin would mostly be a mishit in real life even with plenty of chalk. So the other guy thinking its to do with the cloth speed in the game or in real life needs to realise that the cloth speed has zero to do with how the coders think a white ball behaves with sidespin. Altrhough in saying that the way the white reacts off the cushion, or when swerving etc, is realistic, its as if they have introduced new unreal physics purely for shots that are straight. I hate not seeing the AI screw back when on the black, at the times it should be, but getting its position,. a foot or so away, by using this extreme sidespin!!

You're right, it wasn't a complete waste of time. I learned that discussing with you is nearly impossible, and i should refrain from doing so in the future.
You're still being irrational, so this is where i draw the line. It's over. No more.

The one thing the game nails in terms of physics is ball roll, that little extra roll out when the ball is slowing is exactly how a match table behaves compared to a club table...there you go, we have a positive :)
