No way to proceed after picking up Void

I pick up Void, it takes me to the menu, on this screen here[imgur.com] and then the game simply won't register any input. Asks me to press A on the controller; nothing happens. Try to press Enter on keyboard instead; nothing happens. No other keys or buttons do anything. Only way out is to force-quit the game via Task Manager. Tried reloading, restarting, nothing. Complete show-stopper bug.

*Edit* Tried it without a controller plugged in at all from loadup and it still won't register Enter or any input. Completely impossible for me to continue playing.

This bug happened to me as well. I left menu somehow but it seems like I can't use any tree but first now. Was this event unlocking new skill tree?

Yeah. I can't get it to leave the exact menu as seen in the screenshot though, so I can't even back out of the menu.

I'm reviewing the game, got a code from Terminals, but I encountered the same bug and can't progress further. Do you know any way I can skip the sewer part so I can keep working?

Well I found a way to get past this bug. It seems that when you get Void it takes you to the skill tree and shows a message telling you about this new abilitiy. The thing is that, if you're playing on other language that isn't english, the message doesn't show and that triggers the bug.

What I did was: 1- check the integrity of the files; 2- Start the game and change the language to english; 3- reload my save and get void.

Then the message showed as intended and the game continued. I also finished it on the same run.

After I just Ultra'd DMC5 at flawless 60FPS gameplay (WITH TAA full on), this hurts even more..

The saddest part is, I didn't want to touch DMC5, that microtransaction garbage is literally just soaked in it. It's disgusting and why I never will fully trust AAA games these days anyway.

I know how it sounds, and you must have already tried it, but did you repair your files like I did before changing the language? Maybe that was the solution?

I did try repairing the files yeah. But seriously what you're talking about is a different bug anyway. I was never playing on anything but English, and the bug I'm getting isn't that the message won't appear.
