Retiring Neon Force Pushers

Hello again, blessings to you!

I wanted to let you know that I have decided to retire the game and focus on a new project. NFP didn't perform as well as I had hoped, but I am grateful for the support of all of you who played the game and provided feedback. I may revisit NFP in the future, depending on how my new project progresses, but for now I am putting it on hiatus.

My new project is a game that I am very excited about. I can't reveal too much about it just yet, but I can tell you that it is a rouge-like, inspired by Toe Jam & Earl and A Link to the Past, where you slay demons by the power of God! I am confident that this game will be more successful than NFP and achieve its goals in a way that NFP never could. I don't know when it will launch, but you will find news for it here until I can prepare a more appropriate medium. For now, however, I will leave you with this early thumbnail for the game:

hi, i am wondering, if DLCs are required to get all achievements for the game? and whether you are planning to add more achievements at some point?

Like a pirate with new-found depth perception issues Neon Force Pushers is stumbling in with a new patch!

Added new character skins! Each character now has a unique set of skins for you to select from!
Added more controller hints! (They also stay out of each other's way now!)
Fixed settings in Graphics Menu being un-navigable by controller. This was the last issue preventing NFP from having full controller support!
Fixed the game being too dark when the graphics setting 'Terrain Emission' was set to off.
Fixed custom controls not loading properly. You will no longer need to remap your controls every time you start the game!
Fixed how analog sticks behaved in control menus. They were kinda sketchy before.

Woah! A new update? Today? Who could've known? Not me. Not with all the complications in this past week. I'll spare you the details until after the feature list of this new update!

Main features

New, extra shiny, graphics!

A week and a half is the amount of prep time I gave myself to finish this update. I'm pretty surprised at all I was able to fit into this update in that time. Development was slow and I did not think NFP could be fixed in any short amount of time, and certainly not a week and a half.
I got a reminder email from Steam about an upcoming sale and the idea flew into my head to get the new update done in time for that sale, which was a week and a half away. I thought "Hey, why not? I have half a week to decide if it is possible and then I will announce the possibility if it could happen a week before."
I wanted God's opinion on it though, so I told him I was going to try this, but that I wanted his opinion on it. I never know if I'll get a response but I still try to talk to him. In this circumstance I didn't get any clear response and I continued with my plan. I was making good progress until couple of days from the deadline where I hit two roadblocks. All I could do was give them to God, and so I did, and the problems seemed to just melt away like hot butter. God is good, and I accredit this game to him!
There are still some bugs left that I know need to be fixed that I didn't have time to get rid of, but I got the most game breaking ones out! I'll release a patch this week fixing some of them.
One last thing, I mentioned that I wanted to know what God wanted me to do. Just yesterday I learned what it is he wants. He wants our thanks. It's not that he wants us to do any specific job, he just wants us to be thankful when he blesses us in what we do. Thank you God who provides answers when there are no answers, paths when there are no paths, and love when there is no love! Thank you God of all!
