Size 2 missiles - When and how to use?
When and how do you use them? The only missiles that i can reliably can get behind enemy PD (First starter Fleet of both factions) is Size 3 missiles with a speed of 800+ m/s and corkscrew.

The non hybrid Size 2 missiles sadly cannot reach even 400 m/s and even with lots of EW they get easily shot down. When one gets through the missing speed makes them kind of weak as far as i can tell.

S2 are also nice support system carriers for your S2H.

Overall: for shortrange use the S3, if you play ANS use hybrits but if you want cheap scautsnipers or alot of spammy missiles S2 is your missile type.

Keep in mind: S2 are the smalles missile that can carry the 5cp radar jammer, giving you the option of a HOJ or ARAD decoy as OSP.

Well, unless you are using a HE penetrator I guess the damage is more of a warhead issue then speed?

The strength of S2 is that they can be very cheap, allowing you to overwhelm target PD with volume. Each individual warhead may not pack so much punch, but when a trio of OSP monitors can throw a salvo of 60 missiles at you .....

True true, but i have seen CH with flak eating missiles like its nothing. This game can be a hard teacher with its counterplay.
I had a design for a bulk freighter that fired 24 S2 missiles at a time and could destroy TF Ash in one single volley if it wasn't jammed. Cheaper missiles fired from a greater number of platforms performs is even better especially if you launch from multiple angles.
