Undaunted - Enemy Trigger (Amount/Frequency)
I'm currently defending Million Dollar Ridge. Admittedly the game has me white knuckled during this firefight, so well done.

That said, undaunted triggering so often against enemy leaders/squads is becoming frustrating.

Is there a way to predict this? To account for it? I load up an officer/squad with "Pour it on!" and expect a whopping 20 suppression, then its fully negated. I shrug, curse, then do it again. Oh wait, undaunted triggers, negated again.

If thats the intended effect, it feels like the RNG of it has robbed me of tactical decision making.

(Yes, I know, "You can do everything right and still lose")
Edit: I managed minor victory with the men, barely.

Just wait, it becomes more common the more you go through the game.

If you have high morale enemies they have a higher chance for being undaunted. No way to predict that due to FOW but, if undaunted they are more vulnerable to fire.

Afaik, the undaunted mechanic is based on a Leader's trust. The more trust, the more effective and frequent the undaunted. I am not totally sure and do not know the RNG odds.

In Million Dollar Ridge, the counter attack is done my high XP troops with likely high trust.

Knowing its more likely due to high moral is still more information than I had previously, thank you.

I've definitely had to adapt strategy to account for it happening more often, and preparing for drawn out firefights as a result.

Great game.
