Time to try out the other games then.
I know it's just a demo and the game's still in development and all that... but seeing that this has been an issue for 8 months now and the demo keeps participating and getting promoted in Steam festivals, it does kinda make me wonder what is going on here. That's an un-wishlist from me.
Agreed. Controls are what you really want to have right before you get widespread audience trying out your product. It's a no from here, too.
Here's the general steps on how to get your controller working on Steam first:
First, connect your controller via USB cable or Bluetooth
Then open Steam in Big Picture mode
Click on the settings icon and click on "Controller Settings", under Controller.
Then, depending on what kind of controller you're using, click the box for it (so for example, click PlayStation Configuration Support if you're using a DualShock 4).
Now, onto the steps on how to get the controller working for this game and Tunche: Arena in particular:
Open Steam in Big Picture mode and click on Tunche or Tunche: Arena.
Click on "Manage Game" then click on "Controller Options"
In Controller options, under Steam Input Per-Game Setting, turn the option to "Forced Off" and click ok.
Start and enjoy the game.
I personally use a DualShock 4, and by following these steps my controller works perfectly with the game. I believe they should work for XBox controllers as well.
PS: For anyone else using a DS4 controller, the Tunche demo and Tunche: Arena even show DualShock icons, which many other games don't.
