Anyone Else Experiencing a Black Screen on Start-up?

I was able to play the game perfectly fine last weekend, but it seems after the new dlc came out and the update, the game just opens up with a black screen. I appreciate in advance any help thanks!

yes just add -windowed in set launch options, I had same problem game would not run just got black sceen after you get into game change in options to full screen, game fixed..

Ahh, I tried this, didn't work out though, thanks anyways. However, I tried something else that did. I went into Documents/My Games/Bioshock Infinite/XGame and i renamed the Config folder to something random. The game started up perfectly fine then, and it just creates a new Config folder for you. May have to set your graphical options again, but it fixes it for me at least.

I know you already solved it, but... My game didn't start if my Xbox 360 controller was connected. As soon as I unplugged it it worked.

Hi guys. I`ve been having this exact problem and after 3 days finally figured out solution, that worked best for me. I have Dell Inspieron 15 with HD4400 and GT750M. In Intel graphics and media control panel go to 3D settings and be sure to disable Application optimal mode. Thats it :)

Um.... That didn't help me, all it said was an error message when i tried to load it

The first thing to try is to right click on the games and open the Properties box, then find and click on the button marked “Verify Integrity of Game Cache.”

Somewhat different here. If I bypass the launcher, I get black screen. Doesn't matter if fullscreen or windowed. And renaming the config folder throws an error on startup. The game only works via the launcher....

right click bioshockinfinate.exe go to compatibility tab click run as administrator and tick disable full screen optimisations. launch from the exe not the steam launcher.
