BioShock Infinite

BioShock Infinite

Statistiche:
I. Love. Elizabeth.
First off, I have not finished the game yet so please no spoilers. I just want to comment on how well they did with the companion AI. Peter Molyneux use to "brag" if you will about the emotional connection you would have with a dog or character you held hands with but I just never got that. With Elizabeth, I am constantly engaged with her. Whether its listening to banter, watching her interact with things with amusement or just getting help from her, I feel like a really connected companion and have much, guess you would say affection, maybe? I worry about her whereabouts and what we are doing and it never feels like it's because of a mission parameter or objective. I don't know, its weird, but if thats what they set out to do, mission accomplished.

She looks exactly like disneys bella =p. I thought it was a disney movie at first, with the art style and little bella.

In the art book they wrote the concept of Elizabeth was a cartoon/comic book style and looking character from the start.

Interesting enough I did not feel for her that much. Much like for any other character in this game. This was because she had way to much frequent mood changes and inconsistent behavior. And even though you had her at your side most of the time I barely developed any feeling towards her (or any other character in that regard).

Yes, she's cute and cute and her voice actress does good work, thought I didn't find her voice to be that fitting at all. IMO she Elizabeth does not come close to my favorite videogame characters like most of the cast from KoTOR or some characters from Mass Effect. In general I think that many older Bioware games had much better characters than this Bioshock game (I am not even going into Planescape Torment here, which, I know, is from Interplay). Just like the rest of the game, shes vastly overrated and not nearly "the best AI companion of all times".

P.S. This post reflects only MY opinion.

P.P.S. Your pitchforks are in that corner over there.
Bu where are our torches?

Lol Not everyone is going to like her; that's a given. People in the real world doesn't get along with everybody, you can only expect the same from characters. And of course it's your opinion, you typed it.

I liked her a lot. The character was interesting, her dialog was well written, and well voice acted, she was good looking, the animations were great. And mechanicly speaking, she was hands down the most useful companion in any game I've played so far. Irrational did a splendid job on the whole game, but especially Elizabeth.
Now only if other games could get their AI to work as well.
Since i finished the game bioshock a really big part of me died because i did had a connection with elizabeth. Sometimes i even forget that elizabeth isnt real. But this character is just made realltgood.
I aplogise for my shirts english
After finishing the game, I wondered how all the other Elizabeths were. Did they share her character? How did they grow up? How was their relationship with Booker? There's a myriad of possibilites here. Infinite indeed.

Sad but now that you put it that way, I just got it.....clever.
I also :p2cube: Elizabeth :-)
I hope Elizabeth is back in the DLC or the next Bioshock game. She's awesome! Give me another outstanding story line to go with it, and make me love her all over again!

I fully agree !!!
I just hope they don't spend another four years coming up with the next Bioshock. They have a great foundation, and some amazing possibilities with Elizabeth.

If I had to wager, I'd say she won't be just b/c of the cost involved. Elizabeth is rly 4-5 people: the girl who voiced her, the girl who did her movements, the writers, the programmers, the graphical/effects/lighting people, etc. All of this costs ALOT of moola and when u figure DLC industry standard is like 15 bucks a pop, I dunno.

If we do see her, it might be in a limited role or maybe voiceover or something. I hope I'm wrong but everything in this biz these days (sadly) comes down to the Almighty $$$$.
Just one word:amazing and unforgettable character :)
