I. Love. Elizabeth.
First off, I have not finished the game yet so please no spoilers. I just want to comment on how well they did with the companion AI. Peter Molyneux use to "brag" if you will about the emotional connection you would have with a dog or character you held hands with but I just never got that. With Elizabeth, I am constantly engaged with her. Whether its listening to banter, watching her interact with things with amusement or just getting help from her, I feel like a really connected companion and have much, guess you would say affection, maybe? I worry about her whereabouts and what we are doing and it never feels like it's because of a mission parameter or objective. I don't know, its weird, but if thats what they set out to do, mission accomplished.

She was probably the best companion I have ever seen. Shes the only one I really ever cared about, story wise.

Indeed. I can compare her only to Alyx Vance. Also the games feels empty without her at the beginning.

I did honestly enjoy that. It was next best to playing co-op I guess?

I felt all warm and fuzzy inside everytime she tossed me a coin or a clip.

Ya that's the part that makes it kind of weird in terms of marketing and this thread and gameplay for that matter. She's your daughter yet I'm guessing they wanted a female companion for a mostly male audience and in a way they sort of sell her as a female escort or romantic super-mario style "princess" to the player, until you find out you are her dad!
I dont know about you, but all I felt was that I had to protect her, to keep her safe from the big bad world. Kind of like she was my child.

Not that I don't like the extra cash but having Elisabeth tossing coins at me all the time kinda makes me feel cheap. like a cheap dance hall gal. My suggestion is to increase the amount and decrease the frequency she tosses money. It will make me feel like I'm worth something. Like a big shot high priced hooker with some class.

Uh.. That could have gone with out the comparison to a hooker, but I agree, lower her coin toss rate.

Ouch, I didn't know that, kind of spoiler territory, oh well hopefully there are other surprises.
