Enemies also recover a higher percentage of their health when you respawn.

why play 1999 mode when you can play 1980's mode on May 1st/13?

more damage, more resistance (of the enemies), you lose $100 when you die, no arrow indicator, if you can't afford the $100 when you die, automatically you return to the principal menu and starts from last save

Probably not gonna bother, Hard was challenging enough as it was.
When i first heard about it, i thought it would be a legitimate mode, not just another difficulty setting. So it's kinda suck, they might aswell just call it Very Hard or Insane.

I agree plus if it's called 1999 mode why does it still have 2 weapon limits and regen shield sprint and iron sights those things were for sure not in 1999 shooters except counter strike

lol, hard is now easy when you've played 1999 mode. I think I developed post traumatic stress syndrom after doing that finale over and over :P But it was worth it. I always like to give myself a challenge in games that I really enjoy to replay.

I did 1999 mode with no dollar bill machines, I couldn't tell the difference from hard. I died less times too, but I knew what I was doing and what not to waste my money on.

It gives you a game over, if you get to 0 dollars, and you lose more money when you die. Supposedly things are spongier, like previously said. Generally, my strategy was to avoid dieing. :)

Usually, since I don't have the time I play in an easier mode. Played BI in Normal, after finishing that I actually played & finished 1999 mode. Just as I usually think, it adds little to the experience.
You have to play more careful if that matters to you.
