Seems clear enough to me, it also fits well thematically with Big Brothers/Little Sisters.

Listen the log, he exactly talking about the songbird and what he describes surly the Bid Daddy. He also mention very clearly "seems the effect is irreversible".

Or you know, he could just be talking about the technology itself, and therefore both of them. But when I heard the log I definitely thought he was referring to the Handyman. I just assumed that Songbird was something of the same type.

I'm guessing the Handyman is the offshoot of Finks research into making the SongBird.

SongBired= Kyle fitzpatrick from bioshock 1... maybe...probably not..but there are certain thing that hint at it

Maybe the identity of the man inside is irrelevant, he can be a poor fella who worked as an experiment. No one cared who he was until he put on the mask.

I think all three types are creations from the same origin idea. Big Daddy, Handyman and Songbird - half organic, half mechanic.

I agree with you, thats exactly what I thought. :))

That voxophone was about Handy-mans, sickened people who are turned into half-man half-machine with a artificial heart to keep them alive.

I'm pretty sure Songbird is another version of Booker, like Comstock. That was why Elisabeth had to drown all three at the end to be free.

No, it was about Songbird, he even mentions how he's planning to give the final product to Comstock since he might need it for the tower he's building.

Songbird it maded by Fink, there's the voxophone and the schematics of the Songbird. And It must be based on Big Daddy via the tears.
Also on the art book there's an earlier plan where the Songbird eyes are similar grid shields in it eyes, the book also mentions the first idea of the "Songbird" was a dragon.

It's just an Handyman with Wings.

It would make sense that becoming Songbird is the fate of one of the 100+ other Bookers that the Luteces bring to Columbia. Think of it like this:

SPOILER
Booker is:

Himself/ the player's character (obviously)
Comstock
Songbird

The player's Booker gets willingly drowned at the end of the game by Elizabeth.
Comstock gets drowned in the baptismal font.
Songbird gets drowned/crushed in the ocean.

Is it just coincidence that all three died by water?

Didnt comstock get his head smashed in on the font, not drowned?

Yeah, he did get his head smashed in, but he was killed by the drowning.

My theory is that it's Constance Field, since she felt a kinship to Elizabeth and wanted to meet her. She could have been a subject for the machine.

That is a good theory. But, I dont think Constance Field was alive when Elizabeth was a child. Becuase in the game it says that Songbird was her keeper when Elizabeth was a child, so unless I missed the date the voxophone was recorded for Constance, she couldn't be the person in Songbird because she is so young, correct me if im wrong
