Infinite Was Crashing. This is How I Fixed It.
This game had run beautifully for me for a long time. That is, until on the way to Comstock House. I went through a turnstyle, to find myself in a small office-like room, with an elevator in need of a code. After finding the code on the clipboard, the bird busts through the window... yada yada, you now know where I was... Anyway, I went into the elevator, and every time I pressed the button, the game would start loading the next bit, but would crash. EVERY DANG TIME! UGH, right? Well, I read some other threads where people were getting crashes, leading me to try two things, which fixed the problem, allowing me to progress, without losing all of that progress.

1. First of all, from Steam, right click on Infinite, and click Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity Of Game Cache. It found 11 files in error, and redownloaded them.

2. Some people mentioned fixing crashes by undoing any sort of overclocking they may have done. Myself, I had an overvolt and slightly changed setting in AMD Vision Center. I went to the Gaming>3D Application Settings and restored defaults.

Done. No more crash. The game now plays just as beautifully as it did before the scary bit. I couldn't tell you which of these did the trick, or if it was both actions. I tried them both at the same time before going back into the game. I hope this helps anyone else enjoy the game as much as I am. (Besides that little hiccup, of course.)

For me, it was a Network Adapter that needed to be disabled. After disabling it, it never crashed again.

I validated the integity of the game. It checked out 100%. It keeps crashing 2 minutes into the game. I ran GE force experience and it set up the visuals automatically for me. I went back into the game and ran everything on low res. Still it keeps crashing. I-7 3610, 16gb ram gt680m w/4 gig GPU. This computron should crush this game, any suggestions.

Are you getting a blue screen when it crashes? Or any kind of error report?
