cannot use pistol?

Is it just me or is it impossible to use the pistol? I've just gotten the rifle and it works just fine.. When are you supposed to use the pistol the first time?

Do you mean you are unable to fire it? It should be the first weapon you use iirc.

I am unable to even select it.. Everytime i come across a gun in the game it says the ammo is full... Would suggest I already have it?

Ah it seems my game bugged after the raffle square. (i checked on youtube) The guards just disappear on me after the "incident" so I never got the gun from their corpse :(

i just tried again, they don't appear at all :(

I had the same problem. I couldn't pick up the pistol or pistol ammo, even though I had none in inventory. But as soon as I was able to purchase pistol ammo at a Vending Machine, i picked up the next pistol a guard dropped

It turns out this was because of my messing with the graphics settings ini file. ;)

Must be some kind of glitch. The pistol isn't that good of a weapon though so you won't actually miss it much if you can't get a hold of it.
