How to remove auto-aim

Hey guys, if auto aim really bothers you here is a way you can remove it
1.Navigate to %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Games\BioShock Infinite\XGame\Config\.
2.Locate and "XuserOptions" in text editor.
3.Locate line" bAimAssist" and change true to false

The value auto resets to true no matter what you do.
You have to plug-in a controller, use the intended option to disable it from the controler menu, and then just unplug it.

Changing the ini to "read only" has made it so the changes I make do not revert when the game runs. I have checked and rechecked and loaded and reloaded the game and the settings are staying the same.

I haven't been able to test if it's actually working yet though since I just started the game, trying to get all the tweaks I can find out of the way first.

This usually works with other games though, had to do this with Dishonored to get the graphical tweaks to stick.

I know this is a 10 year old thread but this fix does not work. Tried setting it to false and read-only, still auto locks on enemies when I ADS.
