Game crashing after 5-10 minutes
The furthest I've gotten is past the cloud layer overlooking the city in the capsule, then the game just crashes with the ususal "...stopped responding" message. Sometimes it just crashes right in the main menu. It's running at stable 60 FPS with everything maxed, my hardware isn't getting hot in the slightest and there's absolutely nothing indicating that anything else is wrong. Tried verifying game files and updated my gfx drivers, which only seems to have made it worse.

Windows 8 x64
Intel Core i7 2700k at 5GHz
3GB GeForce GTX 580
8GB DDR3 RAM

I really shouldn't have a problem running this, I'm so sick of beta testing triple-A games.

Able to do everything in options but as soon as I hit new game and choose the difficulty it shows the logo loading screen and get the "unexpected" error. Reinstalling and currently up to date. Same thing after reboot.

Hectic, at least your PC stays on. I don't even get a crash, just turns my whole system off after the AMD logo plays.

First 40 minutes fine.
After that, crashing every 5 minutes no matter how far I progress in those 5 minutes.
Im on CCC 13.3 with AMD 6990.

Same problem here. Game freezes when I am at the bells in the lighthouse. Smooth framerate up to that point.

no? This wont fix anything, regarding freezes/stuttering/crashes!

If you have corrupted files (which is what the verify cache is supposed to help fix) then it could very well cause you to crash.

Write me up to, Game (Display Driver) crashes after some random time of gameplay.

I am on:
i7 3770k @ 4.2 Ghz
16gig 2400Mhz Ram
MSi GTX 660Ti
Win7 x64

I'm playing on my gaming laptop and I crash every 3-10 minutes. It's very frustrating. It looks like were going to have to wait...

I can play Crysis 3 on High with NO problems, so it's not my specs.

MSI GT70
8GB Ram
Geforce 675m

Mine crashed at first tower everytime. I turned off crossfire and turned the graphics down to Low and I got at least an hour of gameplay. Might be worth a try if nothing else has worked.

This game is horribly optimized, what were they doing during those two delays. Last time I ever buy a game from them on the PC at release.

Guys try uninstalling your graphics drivers completely then use Driver Fusion to completely wipe anything left behind from your drivers, then install the latest drivers for you card, worked for me.

I am also getting this problem. The game freezes, drops to desktop and then I get an error "Your display driver has stopped responding or has crashed, and this requires the game to exit. Please update to the latest drivers and restart the game."

Drivers recover from the crash instantly upon dropping to desktop however the game stops responding.

Drivers are latest ATI version
