Windows 7 x64 / Intel Core i7 2700k / 4gb GeForce GT 650M / 16GB DDR3 RAM / latest drivers
I downloaded the new Nvidia driver 314.22 befiore installing. Nvidia 295, 8 gigs ram.
All I want to know is...is this an Nvidia issue or a Bioshock issue?
"We are currently looking into this issue as it may be related to the i7 processor. We should have an update on this issue soon.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Best Regards,
Jordan O."
This is on my support ticket on there website.
I'm sort of wondering if it's a poor job of optimizing for multiple core processors, but then thats assuming all the other people with said processors who can actually play the bloody game are filthy liars.
It might also be something with steam instead of the game itself, a statement which I base entirely on unfounded rumors, mostly to make myself feel better in some vague way.
> Adjusting graphic settings from ultra low to Ulta high (fps remains at 60 regardless)
> Flashed my bios
> Turned off some TCIP protocalls
> Turned off AO, VS and other various options
> Tried repairing integrity of the files
> Unclocked my GPU
Crashes can happen anywhere from 10 minutes to 5 hours. Maybe I'm lucky? So, I wonder of Irrational are working on a patch. :(
Somethinng is very wrong. Like others I tried turning off apps, clouds, Tried different settings. Only thing that helped a little was turning off verticla sync.
When the crash happens, no amount of waiting brings it back. Cannot even do crtl-alt-delete, only hard shutdown.
.
As mentioned before, i have a similar system to most gamers on here, the one main difference is i'm still using Vista 64. Playing the game on ultra with no problems at all.
