Malware in the update?
I just finished updating the game, and my virus scanner said he found malware in the steam apps? Is this a fault in the file so my scanner thinks its a virus, or is this actualy something?

If you trust it just add it to the whitelist or whatever Avira calls it so you can play it.

I dont know, can it happen on steam that a virus slips in? TR/CryptXPACK.Gen is the virus' name it says.

You can just disable Avira while you play, if it does block the game. It most likely is a false positive.

I had to do this once with a couple of non steam games which came from retail and my virus software said they were a virus, so my theory is it is a false positive.

Also what purex. said disable Avira and if you are worried about a virus seeping through with it off unplug you Ethernet from your PC.

okay guys there seems to be a troijan in there. the file that is infected is the nvtt, dll. go to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\BioShock Infinite\Binaries\Win32 remove it with antivir or manually. download the nvtt.dll and libpng12.dll from some other dll download site. The game now laucnhes without antivir attacking

game doesnt work. the executible file (.exe) is missing.
박니키 Mar 25, 2013 @ 4:52pm
I would say send the suspected file to someone else and get them to scan it with their antivirus just to see if it is just Avira that comes up with it, but I don't know what Valve/Steam's policy on that is?

Yes,now the game Works! thanks [JAJA]Paddelui.

I downloaded these .dll:

nvtt
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?nvtt

libpng12
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?libpng12

zlib1
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?zlib1

then i put them in C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\BioShock Infinite\Binaries\Win32
