GOTY?

Any date for the GOTY edition?

I avoid "incomplete" games.

It will be at least next year before it would be released, some time after the next DLC. If this is anything like BS2 then we won't get one as they want to get as much money off you as they can.

SteamWorks titles don't have "Editions" because they are just a bundle of the game + DLCs.

Skyrim has a version that includes DLC and is a steamworks title...

Saying you won Best Shooter at the VGX this year is the equivalent of saying

"Fastest Aborted Fetus Behind a dumpster"


Bioshock infinte is a great game and definatly GOTY material


But the VGX dont mean ♥♥♥♥ especially this year.....to think the guy from Community is sarcastic in real life too

Video games are interesting in that there's no "definitive" GOTY, like the Oscars for movies or the Newberry Medal for books. It only takes one source to name you, and you're a winner of a GOTY award.

There should be a definitive award.

You mean how the Oscars is mostly a US award? There no definite award for any merdia type. It's just that books and movies have a few more respected ones. The whole term of GOTY is hollow, how can any game be the best? Every game has faults or things lots of people don't care for... GOTY to me is only a way to get a 'complete' package.

Exactly the only Game that has that situation that I can think of is DX:HR dierector's Cut


And even then its the only version of its thats avaliable anymore

People need to stop thinking that Buying the GOTY edition is anybetter than buying the DLC's individually or the Season Pass :P other than saving you 5 dollars

What is with Valve having a button to add all DLC when the season pass contains two of them. Wouldn't that result in buying the same content twice?

I wouldn't call this game unfinished. The DLC adds nothing really major to the main game, but adds another story element/ story to go through. It's like a smaller game within a game.

How about Fallout New Vegas UE? It didn't received any GOTY awards from any publications. No one can stop a publisher in creating an "edition" for their game.
