Bioshock infinite keeps saying its completing installation every time i try to play it

Ok so i played bioshock infinite earlier and it was working fine then i played it later and after 2 minutes it exits the game completley and when i try to play it again it says that the game is completing istallation and now it does it every single time i try playing it, what the hell is going on its really making me angry. I havent installed any mods or patches or anything. My PC specs are

Laptop
Nvidia Geforce gtx 765m
12 gigs of ram
2 gigs of video ram
windows 8 64 bit

I tried verifying file integrity and restarting steam and that didnt help. so what do i do?

if verifying files didn't help check for drivers and if not try redownloading it

I think i figured it out, im not sure if theis is a permanent fix but i did get it ot work and played the game for 20 mins then exited and started it up without problems so ill post it here in case anyone else has the problem and needs help, all i did was go to Steam>SteamApps>common>Bioshock Infinite then i deleted this file called "8870_install.vdf" and what that did was when i started up bioshock, it re installed all the microsoft redistributable packages and that got it working so somehting must have been wrong with them.
