Just beat the game for the first time and... *Spoilers*
So I am to gather Booker is Comstock and that Elizabeth is his daughter? Also was all the mind ♥♥♥♥ at the ending Booker coping with the fact that he's dead and that he's alive?

Was the character in Bioshock 1 also a version of Booker Dewitt, or will that be explained in Burial at Sea (about to play them).

I have a nosebleed.

The character from BioShock is Jack, not Booker.

Didn't Jack have a tattoo on his hand? I can't remember what of.

Also Elizabeth explained that there was always a door, always a lighthouse and always a man or something like that.

Jack had chains tattooed in his wrists. As for the quote, it means that there is always a world, that has a lighthouse (a 'gate' to an unlikely city, such as Rapture or Columbia), and that there is always someone that either creates it or destroys it (the last part is purely my interpretation, so feel free to understand whatever you like).

Perhaps Jack is another version of Booker, like Zachary Comstock is Booker.

*SPOILERS from BioShock 1*
Jack is the son of Andrew Ryan, who was 'sold' to Suchong for his experiments (in the field of mind control, I suppose).
So no, Jack is nott one version of Booker.

I lost the plot but carried on anyway.I may have another run through at some point.I was only halfway through 2 when I played this, same with Dead Space games, but I'm quite hopeless anyway.Very enjoyable though.

Well, logic tells me that someone must have cut his tongue out. . . Beyond that he's
just a big fat mystery, unlike Booker DeWitt. It would be nice to have a sequel to Bioshock
1 though, where we once again play as Jack and perhaps fill in a few blanks.

Also, the one thing that still confuses me with Bioshock 1 is why Ryan kept on saying
"would you kindly" and basically forced Jack to kill him.

Because a man choses and a slave obeys. That's what I got out of it. Kinda living and dying by that phrase. And something Jack never could. I think Andrew would rather make the own choice regarding the end of his life then be 'murdered' by Jack or Fontaine's goons.

Aaah well that makes sense. I always had a sense of admiration for Andrew Ryan and to
know that he stood by his ideals to the end gives me even more reason to admire him. . .

Ryan BETRAYED all his ideals when he set himself up as the Tyrant of Rapture, murdered innocent people, mind controled the population and promoted slavery. He turned into everything that the claimed to be against. Ryan at the end died the way he did for his ego, nothing more. sm

But it was all Fonatine's fault, wasn't it?

Not by any means. If Ryan had stuck by his principles (such as they were) and not taken Fontaines' buisness empire for himself things would have been very different. But Ryan wanted it all. His pure greed and megomania (Do think NORMAL people put their own face on money and have huge statues of themselves around?) Fontaine was just the immediate cause of Raptures downfall. If Fontaine hadn't done it, someone else would have. The real fault was with Ryan. As someone put it on teh Irrational Forums. Ryan as a little boy had his lolly pop taken away from him. As an adult he wanted it so that he could take everyone elses lolly pop. Fontaine was NOT wrong when he called Ryan "The bloody king of Rapture." :devilskiss: sm
