- Destroy the zeppelins firsts when Songbird is available
- Possess the Lincoln machines
That's what I did and that's what helped me finish the game.also, set a bunch of traps near the energy core, and farther out.
Also, if you search in other discussions, there is many more tips on how to complete this mission which were very helpful.
As I said you're better than me :)
I'll give those a go. I know I'm getting closer to winning but so far frustrated.
I just watched a playthru someone posted to steam which gave me good ideas.
Changing equipment during the battle according to aerorail equipment or ground equipment helps too.
Possession on the soldiers with the barnstormer (RPG).
The best weapons are the carabine and the sniper rifle, cause you can one shot the weaker enemies with them.
Lay down eletric traps around the ship and use undertow to push enemies out of it. Specially the RPG ones.
Songbird the ships, always.
Use the skylines to atack them from behind, since they will focus primarely on the core, you won't have any trouble.
That was my strategy for beating in the 1999 mode. My first playthrough was on normal and it was very easy without any thoughts on how to do it. But i always had at least two weapons maxed out and a lot of vigors upgraded, specially shock jockey, the undertow range, possession...
I've been doing some of these things already but obviously not the most important.
I haven't really found my groove with the Infinite weapons. I really made some favorite choices on Bioshock 2.
I've also been taking turns playing with a friend, so I feel kinda lame taking too long pondering the choices at the vending machine. Still have lots of money :)
My friend tries to fight the whole game with the sniper rifle with the shotgun as a backup. He barely uses the vigors. I've only started to use them more effectively. Getting out of the graveyard was a job.
That is actually key in making this REALLY EASY, rather you use posession or not spamming Return to Sender on the core will make this easy on even 1999 Mode.
