Relationship between Elizabeth and Booker (spoilers included)
I just finished the game after 15h' playing. It's a fabulous experience.

Through the game I thought they would finally fall in love with each other, just like what happens all the time in Hollywood movies.
But in the epilogue, when I found out they are actually daughter and father, I felt mindf**ked.

Did you ever predict this relationship between them when playing Bishock Infinite?

No.

Didn't predict father/daughter but I was certain here was going to be no romance. And there are some clues as to their relationship as well. If Booker buys a hotdog for Elizabeth at the Boardwalk (near the Ice Cream Parlor) the vendor say "One for the nice man and his pretty little daughter! What do you say, fellow?" There are other clues as well.
Elizabeth will also ask Booker's age and he will say "South of forty. North of you." and will put a fair amount of emphisis on "North of You". Knew right then no romance. :bird: sm

I was sure that Elizabeth is his daughter after she asked about Anna. If i'm not wrong that was before you going to Slate.
Didn't predict it from the start, but I was pretty sure there would be no romance. The age difference was just way too high.
On a second playthrough there were a lot of little hints, though, like Solarmech mentioned.

I didn't buy from that hotdog vendor and totally missed the conversation you mentioned. So regretful... I'll check it out in a 2nd playthrough.

I can't see Booker's face in the game. But from his portrait in the game's poster, I think he looks too young to be the father of a 19-year-old girl. Or maybe he's just a young father...

Booker deWitt was born in 1874, so by his arrival at Columbia(1912 or 1913, can't remember) he was about 38-39 years old. IIRC, the Luteces procured him for his daughter in 1893, when he was 19 years old, so the age is consistent, yes.

Booker didn't have a good early life from what I can tell. Joined the Army at (probably) 15 years olf (underage by 3 years). Took part in Wounded Knee at 16, married (probably) at 18 and a widower when he was 19. :sadelf: sm
